Color Time - Sherwin Williams Naval, The Perfect Blue

Did you hear the BIG news? Pottery Barn has partnered with Sherwin Williams and will pair their furniture collections with existing paint colors. Here at Jace Interiors it is always easier to discuss paint colors with clients when we are able to show them the paint color in an actual room setting. Now the company makes that even easier for us, afterall doesn't everyone have a Pottery Barn catalog in their house?

If you are looking for the perfect Blue Paint...not to dark but with just enough brightness to make it a "happy" blue check out Sherwin Williams Naval. It has quickly become one of my go to Blues!

The contrast between the sharp white trim and the paint color creates and even brighter hue for the room.

Twice a year Pottery Barn and Sherwin-Williams will create a palette to work with their new furniture introductions. The above collection certainly feels like fall with some versatile neutrals.

What room would you use this Blue in?
Check back to Color Time in the coming weeks for additional room images from this collaboration!

*Note: The above room is the actual paint color not just a resemblance of the color. As you can see above, the paint chip sample online looks different than what is in the actual room photo. When choosing paint for your own home never go by what you see online, the color will always be a tad different. I suggest picking up a small paint sample at the store and paint a color swatch in the actual room, than you will never be disappointed!

The New Pottery Barn Scroll Tile Rug

Over the weekend I was flipping through the new Pottery Barn catalog and was SO happy to see they introduced a new scroll tile rug!

PBMoorishRug2
Years ago they sold the above Moorish Tile rug. every client was asking for it and some still do but sadly it was discontinued.

Today I love all the tile rugs on the market but most are flat weave which is not always practical in rooms where you need a bit more cushion/comfort...think babies playing on the floor etc!

The new WOOL Pottery Barn Tile rug is a great compromise of comfort and style. It is one of those patterns that will fit into so many transitional styled rooms. It would work perfectly in every room of a house (....though just pick one please!) and now they are available in runners too which is fantastic!

Do you remember the oh so popular Moorish Rug? Would you buy the new Tile Rug for your home?

Adding Texture with Pottery Barn Seagrass Chairs

Years ago when I came across Pottery Barn's Seagrass Chair I immediately thought coastal home, beach feel than I had a change of heart. While scouting for one of my Jace Interiors client's Dining Room I knew I wanted substantial texture to offset the wood, marble and silk fabric in the space the Seagrass was the perfect solution. It worked seamlessly and actually added to the warm tones of the room. Though I didn't want too much of a good thing so we mixed it up with custom upholstered slipper chairs which gave the formality we needed for a dining room!

Goodbye City PB

It's so disappointing to see home stores vacating their city locations. Today I read Pottery Barn on Newbury Street will not be renewing it's lease. First Restoration Hardware went out and now PB. What's going on? Having these stores downtown makes it easy for city dwellers to shop. Now don't get me wrong I hope this means more business for the smaller non chain home shop owners but I feel there is room for everyone. I am a girl who likes to touch and feel the items especially before recommending them to clients...research is important, it's just not the same shopping online.

The new PB frame

Pottery Barn showcases a great example of mixed frames in their new catalog. They have a few new options I just adore! Take a peak below, they would be a great addition to many room schemes.

The Veneer Profile Frame

The Jameson Frames are raffia wrapped, a great contrast between the dark chocolate and the natural butter!

The Adjustable Easel Frame. This is fantastic! It is a great accent as it can be tucked into unlikely places....in a bathroom, nestled into a vignette of flowers or vases, sophisticated on a desk; mixed in with pencil holders and to do lists. This is also a great gift as it will go with most styles and decor!
