Bring the Pantone Color for the Year Outside!

I spotted this photo in Coastal Living and immediately thought what a perfect way to use Pantone's Color of the Year outside! Doesn't it just exude a certain feel of happiness? I love the retro feel of the rattan as well!

Now who wants to have a little bloggers retreat here?

Mimosa, the happy accent!

Yellow, seriously, it is all about sunshine. Every magazine I picked up this weekend featured some shade of happy sunshine yellow! It seems to be the color of the upcoming year as said here by Pantone. They picked Mimosa as the 2009 color! Explaining it as "the color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance." Maybe it has to do with the depressing economic news but I have to admit, it is uplifting. To be honest I am not much of a yellow girl, but I could see it mixed in with last years favorites of Iris, Purple (which I still adore!) and Orange. Come along and share in some of my yellow finds, maybe I will just convert myself along the way!

As you can see there are many different shades of yellow out there and this is just the beginning. As the year progresses I am sure we will see the deeper gold of the Mimosa shade come to light!
